TUNA!

Fly Fishing for bluefin Tuna is probably the
most exciting fishing we do. It will bring you to your knees with
excitement and frustration but once you've hooked up you will never be the
same! Spinning tackle is another great way to take these fish and we
keep several heavy duty spin outfits on board.
For the fly angler, 12-15wt rods are the norm
with an intermediate and sinking line. Anglers should be able to cast
60-70' comfortably and should be able to physically withstand an hour of hand
to hand combat with one of the oceans most hardest fighting fish.

When it all comes together the
rewards will be etched to last a lifetime

Spinning and vertical jigging
are two other methods we use on a consistent basis.

Fly/Light Tackle tuna is best in Aug/Sept/Oct.
The past few years the fish have been showing strong earlier with some
incredible catches in late June and all of July.

We get several requests for light tackle
trolling for tuna during prime time. If you would rather troll than fly
or spin we can accommodate you.
By mid summer the requests for these types of
trips get quite busy so advance bookings are always suggested.
An added benefit to tuna
fishing are the incredible sunrises and whale shows that we normally
encounter.
